Halloween costume fun!

So this year I was asked to do face painting to raise money for the British Poppy Appeal at a Halloween party. I though for ages for costume ideas until one of my friends simply said "well why not dress up as something you love?"

So I decided to put on one of my fancy Classic Lolita dresses and go as a broken doll. There are many many broken doll face paint tutorials on the internet, but most were a little too much for me. I didn't want look so scary as to frighten the children I was painting, but I wanted it to at least look like I had put in a little effort.

I used white under my eyes to make my eyes look larger and also added extra eyelashes. Unfortunately you can't really see my eyes because my glasses obscuring them. The cracks were quite fun to do. I'm not entirely sure that the children knew what I even was, but at the end of the day I got to dress up like a doll.

By face painting I ended up raising £31 for the Poppy Appeal. It was a good party.
