Monster High - Customised Rochelle Goyle Doll

Rochelle repaint

I thought I'd take some time away from blogging doll reviews to show off one of my favourite hobbies. Shortly after I got into Monster High Dolls, I also got into doll customisation. Rochelle isn't my first customisation, but she is one of my favourites.

I bought this Rochelle off of friend who purchased extras to collect their clothes. Her hair was always cut into this cute bob when I received her in the post, and she arrived naked with no accessories.

I started by removing her make up using acetone free nail varnish remover. The lips are always the hardest to remove. Then I got to work using "Mr Super Clear" a base spray I bought off of someone on a Doll forum years and years ago.

Her face up was completed using a mixture of pastels, acrylic paint and also Prisma Colour Pencils.
I also used a tiny amount of varnish to seal in her eyes and give her lips a wet look.

My Custom Rochelle

Here you can see my custom Rochelle next to her regular counterpart. One of the things that surprises me the most is how much smaller her head looks now. Since she was naked I've dressed her in a spare outfit I had for Laguna Blue.
